Being a member of Chesham Youth Council is something I really enjoy. It gives you a chance to be actively involved in our community, understand how decisions are made, get stuck in during community events and meet so many new people from a variety of backgrounds. I enjoy knowing that I can have a say in decisions made about our hometown and give back to our community.

Joining Chesham youth council was a great opportunity for me as I like to make a dfference to my community in my free time, specifically with the younger side of Chesham. In my experience, at the youth council we listen to everyone's ideas and work as a team to support the young people of Chesham and to try and get our voices heard. I think other young members should get involved because you feel a sense of accomplishment when you make a difference to those around you. For example, we are currently working on a project with our twin towns in other countries to promote activities that young members can participate in Chesham.

I joined the youth council because I love to get involved with the community and giving back. The Youth Council has also given me the opportunity to make great friends from Chesham and elsewhere!

I like Chesham Youth Council because I believe it's a good way to connect with the community and help create change for the youth of chesham. I started for my DofE qualifications and have enjoyed it entirely!

I want to join the Chesham Youth Council to protect the environment, celebrate diversity, and make sure everyone feels included. I hope to work together with others to create ideas that support the community’s needs and build a fair and bright future for everyone.

I joined Chesham Youth Council because I would like to make Chesham a better place for young people to live and go to school. I have experience of helping at events with other voluntary groups and I enjoy talking to people about their local community. I love my hometown and care about making Chesham a beautiful and litter-free place. I would like to be a voice for young people in general and SEND students in particular.

I want to join the Chesham Youth Council as this is a great opportunity to give the community what they need and help out to make good and positive changes to the community. For example, we could add more accessible places for those that are disabled,  encouraging the locals to go out, to make it safer at night time, making it easier for students to commute to and from school.

The voice of young people matters. We may be able to see blind spots that some of the adults can’t, in terms of generating new ideas, bringing to attention issues and finding solutions/innovating. 

I want to join Chesham Youth Council because I'm interested in how communities work and how young people can have a positive influence on local decision-making. Having been part of my school council and helped review our summer uniform policy, I have seen how listening to different viewpoints can lead to practical change. As I begin A Levels in Politics, Economics and Sociology, I am keen to develop my understanding of society and contribute to my local community. I am particularly interested in helping more boys and young men feel connected to where they live, using sport to bring together students from different schools, and creating opportunities for young people to gain work experience and employment skills. I would also like to support projects where young people help older residents build confidence with technology. Most of all, 1 am enthusiastic, reliable and willing to help with local events and initiatives that make a difference.

I want to get more involved in my town and making it better for the youth. 

I want a larger sense of community between younger people and want to give back to those in Chesham and the community, I want to tackle issues affecting many people in Chesham like travel and local buses which affect many that go to work or school.  I quite enjoy volunteering and interacting with the public, informing them about issues or opportunities. 

Ive lived in Chesham over 12 years, its a wonderful, thriving,vibrant town.I'd like to contribute to making this town even better for young people.
